You did buy a 2014 CR-V or earlier, right? Those are the only ones that can be flat towed.

Since you have air brakes on a Dutch Star I think the near-universal recommendation for the CR-V's supplemental braking system will be the Demco Air Force One, which may check one item off the "stuff needed" list.
I have Demco's Stay-IN-Play DUO for gasser motorhomes and I have found their optional CoachLink wireless braking indicator system very helpful. It lights up when car's brakes actually are applied. It's way over-priced but helpful.
