Sprinter and TOAD

If you pull a TOAD with your Sprinter-based RV, list it here. Photos would be cool too.

Well, it's a bit late but we used to pull a mini Cooper with our Sprinter based Itasca Reyo. Very easy pull and little effect on the mpg--15-18mpg consistenly w/o toad. Sorry, no pictures as we sold the Itasca to purchase our current MH.

I towed a GMC Terraine, it weighs 4000 lbs. with a break buddy, with my 2018 Sprinter. Felt like the tail wagging the dog, just to heavy. I bought a dolly and plan on towing my wife’s Mini Paceman. It weighs 2,954 lbs, the dolly has electric brakes.

We use an ACME EZTow to tow a Chevy Sonic RS Hatchback.

Have you been to Port Townsend with your rig? I've seen one very similar within the last year.

In reply to the other post, 4k is likely not the problem as many others have done so with no problem. Such as 4dr Wranglers, which must be pushing the weight limits.
There are several easy and relatively inexpensive suspension upgrades available for the Sprinter chassis which would stop the wagging.

While I have been to Port Townsend, it has been a few years and I did not have that rig them.

Always nice to hear of a "twin".

I pull my motorcycle on a 6'x10' trailer and/or my Honda fit behind my 2013 view with no problems. The photo with the Honda in tow is a little older. I now tow the Honda flat 4 down with a tow bar. A lot easier to deal with.

2016 Chevy Spark

We tow a 2016 Chevy Spark behind our 2017 Navion 24G.
It weights less than 2500 lbs and is flat towed.

Very easy to hook up and absolutely no problems with the setup.
Old MH was a 42ft Fleetwood DP towing a Silverado PU.

Quite a change !

Over the years, have towed a Scion xA with our 2006 23H View, a MINI Cooper Clubman S then a Ford Escape with our 2012 24G Navion, and now the same Escape with our 2018 24D View. Never a tow dolly, always four down with appropriate supplemental brake on the toad. The Escape has a RoadMaster InvisiBrake.

We pull a 2012 Honda Fit Sport (automatic) behind our 2017 Navion 24V. I'd post a picture if I could figure out how to do it on this forum. Blue Ox baseplate, Demco tow bar, TowDaddy brake/stop light connection system and a RVi2 braking system.

Pulled a 2008 Jeep GC behind our 2017 Winn View for about 20,000 last spring. No problems but glad I had a TPMS for both the View and the toad.

Unfortunately, Hurricane Irma's storm surge inundated the toad with seawater so it's now gone!
