Stehl Tow Dolly Scrapes

I recently purchased a Stehl tow dolly. Loaded on our Toyota Sienna minivan and took it for a trip. Made sure the wheels were on the pan toward the front and secured it. Noticed a lot of scraping sounds while driving and it seems like the ramps have low clearance to the roadway. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this? Will it eventually grind away?

Ours did the same thing until I added a drop hitch between the motorhome and the dolly to lower the ball.

Stehl recommends the base of the ball to be between 15 - 19 above the ground.

You don't want the dolly ramps dragging if you can help it.
