Subaru Toad baseplate

I am in the market for a baseplate for my 2010 Subaru Forester, manual transmission.

I have briefly looked at Blue OX, Demco, and Roadmaster.

I am not sure which one to go with. I am looking for one that will not show much up front when it is unhooked, and ease of installation. Or I may just have someone install it for me in the Denver or Colorado Springs area.

I had a Blue Ox system before on my old set up, but would like to get your opinion anyway.

Subaru Toad baseplate

I use Blue Ox because you can’t see it when not towing.

Thanks for the Blue Ox recommendation. I just installed by Blue ox baseplate BX3616, and the "etrailer:"video was a great help.

I also bought a light kit with diodes that a local trailer store installed yesterday. I plugged it in today, and all I have is working turn signals. The brake lights and stop lights do not come on. So much for leaving early tomorrow. I will stop by that shop and have them address the issue.
