Steve. Sorry for the late response but my phone stopped getting notifications for some reason. I don’t think that the harness will be released any time soon but since the wife went back to work, we won’t need it for a while. I’ll just wait a little longer and see what it does.
If it does what Jeep told me, I get it for free. If it doesn’t, I get it for 50% off. Pre negotiated with the dealer and worth the wait.

Use of diodes for JL wiring harness
My installer and roadmaster both say the roadmaster wiring harness wirh diodes will work for brake/stop/turning lights on my JL in conjunction with an invisibrake system
does anyone have this or tried this or any diode wiring harness with the JL

I bought a harness about 3 months ago. Haven’t installed it yet. $200 from dealer or less than $100 aftermarket.

Ok, been using mag base towing lights on bar that goes into hitch on toad. Plugged into Moho, might do harness before our next camping next week.

Suggestions for Wrangler flat tow wiring harness
The original release date was scheduled for May 1st and revised on a monthly basis. The last time that I called Mopar in early October, they said the new date is Dec 31 which tells me that it’s sometime in 2019.
When I call, I ask for PN 82215382

Dealer told me yesterday that the wiring harness for the JL is not available and there is no timeframe as to when it will be. I guess that leaves only aftermarket options.

I talked to Hopkins this week about the availability of a harness for the JL. I was told the aim was prior to end of the year, but the person I was speaking with said they haven’t heard any recent updates.
The Hopkins kit is amazingly simple plug and play. I don’t have any pressing trips until April, so I’m planning to wait on the Hopkins option.

If you haven’t done it yet, look up CoolTec. They make a great harness that wires into the main harness on the passenger side with a toggle switch that you flip to tow mode. Great system. The Bulb and Socket set cannot be used on the JL models because light are different.

I’ve seen reports that FCA has released the harness and started shipping in late December.
