Tire damage from Tow Dolly?

I recently started towing my VW CC (Passat), on a Mastertow Dolly. I noticed yesterday that one of the front tires has noticeable Egg in the sidewall. I know i haven't hit any curbs or such. The bump is close to the edge of the rim. These tires are low profile on alloy rims. Is it possible that driving up the ramps and going over the ridge would do this?

Damage on sidewalls us from contact with something or the tire is coming apart, as in belt seperation.

Driving up ramps or going over a ridge on a dolly is a millions time less stress then hitting a pothole on the road.

How old are the tires ?

This is damage from a road. I have a BMW with low profiles and a tire warranty. On my 6th set of front tires in less than 20k miles. My roads are terrible.
