Toad for '03 Winnie VW Vista

Trying to determine, can it be done, and safely.

The MH - 2003 Winnebago VW Vista. V6. Class I hitch, 2000 pound limit. 15 mpg. Great for 2 people. Fully loaded for the road, Vista scales at 7100, gross limit is 9200.

The Toad - a Smart car fortwo. Weighs 1800 pounds. Smart car is towable, four down. Baseplate and tow bar add less than a hundred pounds.

It would make a great combination, if it can be done. Seems there are so few of these made (under 900) that few people have much experience with them.

Loking for any solid information.

Thanks in advance.

You only have 2100 lbs. to play with. How much does everything you bring with you weigh and the two passengers weight. Might want to weigh your unit first.

As I stated - " Fully loaded for the road, Vista scales at 7100, gross limit is 9200."

But thanks for the advice. Always a good idea to weigh.
