Toad fuse disconnect

I want to put in a fuse disconnect for my toad. I need to pull a 2 amp mini fuse now. What size wire do I need, and can I use an inline fuse? I'd rather not spend the $60 for the ones I've found online.

Take a burned fuse that fits the fuse panel. Break the plastic cover off. Solder a wire to each of the spades that fit in the fuse holder. Add an inline fuse holder for your two amp fuse, and a switch.

That answers what I thought, the inline fuse should work. What about the correct wire gauge?

A 2 amp fuse doesn't need heavy wire, 16 to 18 ga would be plenty. Note the wire size of the inline fuse and match that, or whatever is handy.

Thanks. I pretty much had it figured out, but I wanted confirmation I was doing it right. I think I am. I'll start gathering the parts this week.
