Toad or Towed

So is it really a Toad I often thought it should be a Towed? It's what's behind you.
It's seldom referred to as a Dingy.

IMHO, no wrong answer, we all know what you are talking about.

So Dingy - Toad - Towed

They all work, as they all refer to the vehicle that's behind the RV.

So Dingy - Toad - Towed

In todays world, someone will protest it or, take a knee

Seriously, it really doesn't matter what terminology is used. If you want to get technical, "Towed" means something you've done: I've TOWED this before. A TOAD is a frog, but, many simply refer to that term for their vehicle that's being TOWED behind their motorhome. And DINGHY as I understand it, is in reference to a small boat, that's normally connected to or being TOWED by a larger boat or yacht. Again, it's just a matter of preference. No one's going to die if the wrong term is used in any reference.

“Toad” used to bother me, now “towed” does :-)

Towed or toad, it don't matter.

Just don't call a Cummins engine a Cummings. That stirs up a big mess.

Yes I know, I just thought it would stir up some interesting conversation. Tender is another word for a dingy. Maybe we can call them tenders?

Tender and Dinghy are two names for the small boat I hang from " tow bars ", wait I mean davits, on the back of my cruising boat.

We take them to dinghy docks near the anchorage.

Some people call them a FROG...four rolling on ground!

Shouldn't a TOAD be: two on a dolly?![emoji15]
