We take a towd because there are a lot of places we go where drive services are not available. I wonder about the cost of getting Uber TO Big Rocks in Joshua Tree or to Kennedy Meadows in California. On some of our trips, we have put 1,000 miles on our towd in less than a week.

For getting from the Walmart parking lot to the rib shack, it makes sense. To spend a week exploring Yellowstone, it is probably not so suitable.

Then there is towing the FJ Cruiser for a week of off-roading in Death Valley...
