Toad tow car

We recently purchased a 2012 Forest River Georgetown. We are looking for a flat tow vehicle. It seems many articles give suggestions of brands of cars or trucks to purchase but not years and how to hook up. Can anyone make suggestions for a tow car? Year of car? Where do we begin?

Google is a wonderful thing...

I'd also search this web site (iRV2) for similar comment threads. I have read several with horror stories about certain models / years. Then there are the good experience threads, like this one https://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/anyo...er-359175.html

There are some manufacturers that don't endorse flat towing... a lot of manufactures are mum due to a liability stand point.

In my case I've pretty much decided on a 4x4 Jeep.... the neutral function of the transfer case pretty much eliminates driveline worries. The next step is to find one in decent shape at an affordable price...
