Toad Wiring

Hay group, I need some help with my toad wiring. My toad is a 2012 Fiat 500. I wired the parking lights and signal light per the instructions I received with the Reese Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System with 4-Pole Connector. My parking lights are on one circuit the Brown wire and my signal and brake lights are on the same circuit, yellow and green wires. My signal lights are amber is lieu of red. So my brake lights are amber as well. I got this idea to wire my signal and brake lights into my parking light circuit. All was good, my signal lights and brake lights worked on the parking light circuit and bulbs. The only differance is the signal lights are now red instead of amber.

Now for the problem. When my parking lights are on my turn signal and brake lights do not work. I turn the parking lights out and I have turn signal and brake lights. I just cannot seem to get them all to work at the same time. Is there anyway to fix this? If I move the wiring back to the signal light circuit is it legal for me to have an amber stop light? As long as I drive during day light hours and don't encounter any gray rainy days where I would need my parking lights I guess I could get by but I would prefer to do things proper. Any help I can get on this would be highly appreciated>
Thanks Hatrick01

Is this what the instructions were for the install?

Dajo, no I just thought I would try it because etrailer sells a bulb and socket that you install in the tail light housing which is independent from the vehicle wiring harness for this model car which would essentially work the very same way. So I thought I would give it a try.

Typically, there is a wiring kit that compensates for an amber turn, red brake and running lights. Once wired in, the control box does the math and makes everything work. I'm guessing it may not have been available for the Fiat, or you've used the wrong the kit. Etrailer is great, give them a call and tell them that you have separate brake and turn signal lights. They should be able to fix you up.
