Toads
Why is it that folks towing toads park in the middle of the camsite road to hitch and unhitch their toads and put the hitch parts away when there is a spot to pull over and hitch/unhitch within 100 yards of their site or at the entrance?
I waited almost 20 minutes (as did 2 others behind me) while someone figured out how to do it 2 weeks ago, and 10 minutes today.

The same reason some leave their engines running when they check in or when they hook the toad up in the morning.

I’d say if it took 20 minutes, they don’t know what in the heck they are doing! It takes me no more than 5. Maybe road wasn’t wide enough to do it in there lane.

It is called being inconsiderate. Some folks just don't think of others.

I call it, "Missing the three "Cs". Common sense, Common Decency and Common Courtesy. These people passed right by the table that was handing these traits out, when they were born. There's a whole of it going on these days. And it ain't just concerning RVs and operations there. If you've ever either owned a boat or, just visited a boat ramp on a weekend or, any semi busy day. Some folks just simply DON'T think of anyone else when they're doing certain things. It's not in their DNA.
And, it's not rocket science. I mean, it just doesn't take more than a couple of brain cells to tell yourself, "guess I should pull over here, OUT OF THE WAY, to do what I need to do, so I don't cause anyone here any problems". Oh well, it is what it is. The old Forest Gump statement, "Stupid is as Stupid does".

We were in a small RV park in Monterey and I knew I would block the other people in while I was connecting my toad so I went around to the ones that were getting ready to go to see when they were leaving.
They all said to hook up my toad, no problem. RVers are great people!

I agree with the comment regarding the three common Cs but there may have been special circumstances involved. I am a solo and I am handicapped and do not have the option of driving my Class A down the street to a staging area and then walk back to get my toad. Nor do I have a significant other who can drive the toad. I pull out and pull ahead just enough to straighten out, stop and walk back a few feet to get my toad. I always tell my neighbors so they know they will be blocked in for about five minutes or so. I try to stop to on the side of the road so others can pass by.
