TOADS and a Golf Cart

First part of my question would be how often do you find a golf cart a 'necessity' while long term traveling (more than 3 months)?

Those of you that have a TOAD (not a Pickup) and take your golf cart, how do you travel with both?

We do have a pickup; so I can't help with transporting both unless you use a trailer. We only take the golf cart for our "snow-birding" and that's only one campground for the winter. Even though our pickup is quite capable and our MH can tow 15K, it would be a pain to drag all over the country.

I camped next a guy a few weeks ago that had one of these:

He had it in the back of a pickup though and it didn't take up much room at all. Unless you have a toy hauler you're going to need a pickup or trailer.

A few years ago I had a neighbor who had one of those mini cricket carts. It fit right into the back of his Honda CRV.

I have heard a lot about the Crickets - but I live in the NE and haven't been able to find anyone that handles them. I heard about them being able to fit in the back of our CR-V and would like to take a look. Can anyone tell me where in the NE or Great Lakes region there is a dealer?

I’ve found anywhere I would “need” a golf cart, my JEEP works well. Can’t say the same if reversed.

I looked at the Cricket a few years ago when my late wife was having trouble walking. Seems like a decent, but small rig. Top, windshield and side/back curtains available too.

Crickets will also fit in a 4 door Wrangler. KANGACRUZ is another option.

Deck over Dolly makes one with 6, 8 and 10 ft decks available. I have one but use it for a motorcycle.

Toad

Hi. I will be towing this behind my motor home for my golf cart and towing my Jeep. I get both worlds. There a Goldwing trike on the photo but most of the time will be my golf cart.

For us a golf cart has never been a "necessity". We are both in decent health and walk at least 3 miles a day when camping. When not walking we ride our bikes as we always take those. I have talked about getting a golf cart from time to time but figuring out towing it and then the wife always shoot down the idea. Good luck in your search.
