Tow a Toad with Class C/B+

We a considering purchasing a Class C/B+ with a 3.0L Turbo Diesel on a Sprinter Chassis, but would like to tow a "toad". Between the Unloaded Vehicle Weight and the GCWR there is about 5,250 lbs. That weight would likely work for us but it will be very close. How will this affect the performance of the RV in general? How will the RV be affected when pulling up hill in the Rockies, our preferred vacation destination?

I have emailed the manufactures, but have not gotten a response thus far.

That engine has gobs of torque, but the HP is rather anemic. I would expect it to tow just fine on the flats, but climbing will be a little slow. It will do it, but that's a pretty heavy toad and a larger engine might not be a bad idea if towing is something you will be doing a lot of.

And welcome to iRV2
