all right, i'll ask another question. I have an 1-3/4" difference with the truck above the rv. If I add the blue ox 3" adapter I'll be 1" difference with the rv above the truck. Also with the adapter I add another part to the system and 10-1/2" in rig length. What would you recommend? Should I go with just the tow bar or add the blue ox 3" height adapter?

With that height difference, I would omit the adapter and connect the tow bar directly to the Coach's receiver. If, however, you believe the additional length for turns is needed, use the adapter. I wouldn't use the adapter just to close the height difference, though.
Good luck with whatever decision you make!

Thanks. I'm going to go without the 3" height adapter. If I get to go to Utah next month I'll let you know how it goes.

Safe travels! We're full-timing now and are on the East Coast volunteering at a COE lakeside campground. But see ya down the road!

Made it to Utah and back. 3700 miles and everything went well. My 2019 F-150 leveled out well with the Palazzo and never really knew it was back there unless I was looking in the mirrors while turning or checking it with my rear view camera. thank you for helping me decide not to use a height adapter.
