Tow bar repair
We're using a Blue Ox tow bar and have had good service from it. One of the rubber boots has torn and needs to be replaced. Does anyone have experience with this and should I go somewhere other than Blue Ox for parts? Thanks in advance.

bule ox repiar
The blue ox web site list all parts that are available. The task will require metric tools so be prepaired. note harbor freight has the best price for tools for the part time repairman

Major Blue Ox dealers are certified to repair or rebuild, but any dealer can send your tow bar back for a factory rebuild. That will get you new Blue Ox parts and a thorough job of inspection and repair.
But if its just a damaged boot on a 2-3 year old tow bar, just order the parts and DIY. I'd probably order direct from Blue Ox, but a dealer can get them too.

Well,
If it's just the rubber boot, heck, I'd cruise on down to your local motorcycle service center and see what they have for replacement fork boots. They're almost identical in size and length to your Blue Ox boots. That is if Blue Ox doesn't have yours in stock and or, theirs is a major price difference. Worth a thought anyways.
