Everyone that tows, will obviously recommend the brand they’re using.
I’ll start……Blue Ox.

Any of the major brands are good. I've had a few from Blue Ox over the years. Good service from all.

Any brand name that is rated at close to double your vehicle's towing weight. One with non-binding latches is nicer in my opinion.
I use a Roadmaster Nighthawk for a couple of reasons: Lighted arms when the motorhome's parking lights are on, non-binding latches, and built-in "channels" that permanently hold the safety cables and the umbilical cord. Those just stay on the tow bar 100% of the time so there is less to deal with when hooking up or disconnecting.

I have an NSA Hercules primarily for the capacity (12,000 #), the built in surge brake and the fact that it is STEEL. I don't trust aluminum tow bars as far as I can throw them. Aluminum work hardens and breaks and although steel will to an extent, it takes much , much longer than aluminum. It's a safety thing. I know aluminum is lighter but it's not that much lighter. Happy shopping.

In my opinion some brands are better than others after the sale, personally I put Blue Ox near the bottom on this based on their changes to the way they treat their customers over the last few years, with ever increasing service / rebuild fees, and now declaring an 8 year service life span on their tow bars at which point they will no longer service them even if you pay them. Compare this to companies like Demco which provide a first owner lifetime warranty on defects, and will offer repair parts and service to anyone that may have bought one of their products used as long as parts are still available.

Ok, I'll go next!
Anything but Blue Ox !
I use an old Demco 10,500lb bar, that is built like a tank. I'm fairly sure no manufacturer uses this much steel anymore !

Roadmaster here.
My opinion is to get the best deal you can. Blue Ox, Demco, Roadmaster, all are good.
You want one that that will have your toad at the end of it when you arrive at the campgroud

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
I recommend the NSA RV Products ReadyBrute towbars with built-in ReadyBrake! I would go with the Hercules series, rated at 12,000 lbs., with lifetime warranty. They are simple, effective, and the lowest cost of any combination of towbars and braking system that I am aware of!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Have you dealt with them since they started changing their service terms in the last 2-3 years?

BlueOx Aladdin - lighter (aluminum) than most(31 lbs.) and as it turned out, pretty tenacious. The Ascent replaced the Aladdin and upped the tow capacity from 5K to 7500 lb. We tow now with the newer Ascent. Super easy hook up but a little pricey. Here is the justification:
A little twisted, but it never let go.

How often do you plan to tow ? We only tow 2-3 times a year and went with the blue ox adventurer. Many think they are hard to use. Been towing with tow bars my whole life. It takes the wife and I all of 30 seconds to hook up with it. YMMV.
