Tow car with 2013 Thor Outlaw

We have a 2013 Outlaw . Looking for info on a tow car to haul. Hearing all different stories about do's and don'ts on hauling this one and that one. Want a four wheel drive one. Any info would be greatly appreciated

Gotta narrow it down and pick one first. Car, Jeep, SUV, truck, 2 or 4 door? With or without capacity for extra storage? New or used?

Make things easy......get a Jeep Wrangler. IMHO easiest to set up and tow 4 down.

Or from what I've seen you can buy a Jeep Cherokee with the I6 engine, 4x4, just like a Wrangler for about 1/2 the price! I've found some nice 2004 Grand Cherokee rigs for $4500 😜👍🏻👍🏻

Bev,

The 2013 Outlaw had a 5,000lb receiver hitch until last year (now 8,500) and was riding on the 22,000lb GVWR rated chassis (now 26K). You should avoid exceeding the 5,000lb hitch rating, so 4 door Jeeps are typically overweight.

The desire for 4x4 puts a some cars off the table, unless you use a trailer. And dolly towing a 4x4 is also a no-go. But the 2 door Jeep Wranglers and several Subaru models will flat-tow with no mods to the Outlaw.

Best luck
