Dave, we need more info? What type, year, model Jeep, what brake system is installed? Can't give input without info.
I can say if it's a Cherokee or Grand Cherokee then EPS will drain the battery along with the Aux brake system. I don't know if the Wranglers are using EPS's.

To you need to also purchase their tablet???
That is, is there an app for phones to work with it?
I would love to have something like this even if it does not have wi-fi or blue tooth.

One of the problems I've seen with JL Wranglers (push button start) is you have to make sure the ignition is OFF, not in ACC when done putting transfer case in neutral.
Later...

You need a battery to battery connection - Coach to Jeep. Most folks use a 6 pin connector to do it. Then when parked for the night. Unplug the 6 Pin to isolate the two batteries.
However Wranglers have a history of dead batteies when parked for a time and the fix for that is a battery maintainer pluged into 110V receptacle. At night while saying at a hotel. I just cross my fingers and hope the battey will be alive the next day.

It completely (physically)isolates the Jeep's electrical system when towing, forcing power to come from the coach, and thus insures no drain on the Jeep battery while towing.
First time I towed, I arrived with a dead battery. I'm talking dead to the point that Jeep replaced both the main and the aux batteries under warranty.
Ultimately, I have developed a theory which may or may not be of value for the OP:
The Jeep has a start button, not a keyhole slot. During the hookup process, there is a point where you turn off the running motor. You push the button, and the motor stops. Just like it's supposed to do.
But, because the button is located behind the steering wheel in your line of sight, you fail to notice that the ignition did not go to "OFF", but rather it went only to the "ACC" position. You continue through your hookup checklist, and away you go, with the ignition in "ACC" instead of "OFF". Your Jeep battery is thus powering who knows what until you arrive at your destination with a dead battery!
I haven't had a repeat occurrence since I began paying strict attention to the ignition switch reading "OFF", like it's supposed to.
Hopefully this simple fix is your issue, and prevents you from having to install more gizmostats into your system!

Yup - this. If you have the button, check that it went to off and not one of the other positions. Our Jeep does this when the auto park feature doesn't think the Jeep is standing still. Just push the button again and it will go to off. Fortunately, we noticed this the first time it did it and we always make sure it's off before we exit the Jeep after hookup. We've never had a problem with the battery in the Jeep draining under tow.

I do not have their tablet, and as far as I know, there is not a phone app to use with it. The LED on the unit itself tells the status of charge by its color and if it is flashing (i.e. green, yellow, red, flashing or solid, all indicating a different charge status).
