My Tow Dolly has a requirement for the ball of the hitch to be 18" above the ground. My coach (Thor Palazzo) hitch receiver is 14" measured from the ground to the top of the receiver with suspension (airbags) inflated to normal ride height.
I have a hitch that I used with my SUV that has a 3 1/2 in drop and I find that I can turn it upside down and remount the ball to attain the desired 18 inches required by the dolly manufacturer.
Question: Has anyone ever done this, to change height by flipping over the hitch? Is it OK? I have seen hitches come straight out and hitches that drop down like when I used my on my SUV but I have never seen one that raised up above the hitch receiver.
Thanks in advance!

No problem, they are engineered to go either way. I have an 8"
Blue Ox drop/rise receiver on my DP, pulling a Ford Explorer.
Mine rises up, versus dropping down. Here is a link:

On ours I have the mount normal (drop is down), then used a 1" taller ball to get 18".
