I tow my 2006 Jeep Commander Limited behind my 2004 Ford F-53 Georgetown 325 with no problem I use a Demco towbar and a Brake Buddy. The Jeeps must have Quadra-Trac II that has a button for 4-low and neutral. On mine, you can turn the ignition key to off and remove the key, the steering does not lock!

I got what I think is a very good deal 04 Grand Cherokee Limited with everything but the kitchen sink on it for 7 grand, now I have to find a tow bar kit and braking system to install on it.

I think you'll like your '04 GC Limited as a toad. If you have the heated seat feature, make sure to check if the recall has been done. Ours had one recall for the seats several years ago and then they had another recall for the same problem abour 2 months ago. Potential fire hazard if not repaired.

My Grand Cherokee has heated seats as one of its options, but I don't know if the recall requirements have been met or not. Can that be checked at any Jeep dealer? PS - Thanks very much for that info.

Every time I took my Jeep into a then local dealership to have the oil changed or a tune up done (cheaper than Wal-Mart and it was a very good shop) they would run my VIN number to see what recalls pertained to it and ask if I wanted any of the warranty work performed. Since it was FREE I usually said yes or scheduled another visit if it was a lengthy procedure. I had bought my Jeep from an auto auction in GA and had not ever bought anything from the TN dealership. They were just a really good shop that was recommended to me by several other women.
