Tow vehicle for 2022 Tiffin Red AA

I purchased a 2022 Tiffin Red AA with a 360hp Cummings. I'm looking for a tow vehicle to tow flat. My wants are a 2022 midsize SUV that can handle Minnesota winters because I would like to use it as my second vehicle. I want an automatic with no mph limit well towing, no starting the vehicle every day before starting out, no dead battery after a long day and night of driving, no stopping to start the vehicle as I'm driving. I short I want to hook it up and drive nonstop for 16 hours go to bed and get up and do it again. Any thoughts on this and tow bars and braking systems as well are very welcomed.

Chevrolet Equinox AWD would not be a bad choice.

Sounds like you are looking for a Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee. The Equinox must be started daily and at fuel stops and has a 65 mph speed restriction. I would recommend the Air Force One brake system to utilize the air brake operation without any power draw to speak of from the car’s battery.

I used to tow my Grand Cherokee. Now Iím using a Jeep Wrangler it is a lot more fun and lighter to tow. Iím using a Blue Ox Avail hitch and Air Force One braking system.

Check out the new Bronco (not the Bronco Sport, it isnít towable four down).

I really think you should pull a Ford Excursion or 350 dually up the Rockies in July. So much fun....

We went with the Jeep Trailhawk. Weighed in at 4,380 lbs (with tow bar and base plate). Here’s what we bought into (part #’s included):

Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar (RM-676)

Base plate kit for 2018 Jeep Trailhawk (RM-521446-5) Probably a different part number now.

Roadmaster Diode tail light Wiring kit (RM-154)

Brake light relay (RM-88400)

Roadmaster battery charge line (RM 156-25)

SMI Stay-in-Play DUO Braking System (SM99251)

When Jeep finally came around to admitting the death wobble they came out with a wiring kit to address it. Cannot remember the part number but you will need that as well.

2018 Jeep TrailHawk
RoadMaster NightHawk (keepín it together)

You’ll find that 80% of the toads in Red Bay are Jeep Wranglers. That’s how we chose. It’s my first Jeep, and it’s ok. But it’s easy to hook up and tow. (2020 33AA)
