Question Towing 2010 Ford Fusion

A friend is towing a new (2009 miles) and the battery keeps going dead. Sometimes the battery dies as quickly as two hours or up to maybe as long as five hours. He has had it to two Ford dealers and they say the battery is good and the charging system is good. One dealer suggested that since these cars have some sort of stabilization system that may be causing the problem. It seems to happen more on rough roads than smooth. Of course I don't know where you can find a smooth road but of course that's a whole different topic.

Any thoughts?

Turn key to acc. Before turn key to on and shut every thing off radio, blower, interior
lights just make sure its off and it should not drain the battery,we have a 2010 fusion
sel. we have a patriot system with its own internal battery. So far so good.
