Towing a 2002 Chevy Suburban 4x4

We have a 2017 Tiffin Phaeton with a 10,000lbs towing capacity. We currently tow a 2015 GMC Acadia with a Road Master tow bar rated for 6,000lbs with the RVI2 breaking system. 2002 Suburban 4x4 is 5,600lbs so other than getting base plate, breakaway etc... we should be ready for the Suburban to be towed safely. My question is........other than the dance of shifting into neutral is there anything else that needs to be disconnected or fuses to pull?
Reason for wanting to flat tow the Suburban is we have 4 teenage kids and often my mom will RV with us-Acadia can be a little cumbersome.

Thanks in advance for the responses!

debra1967,
First and foremost, your owners manual should spell it all out, the EXACT procedure for step by step prep, for towing. In most cases, the manual will say: Preparations for Recreational Towing or, Towing behind a Motor home. Now, this is what's stated in both manuals, for both toads that we tow. One is an '11 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 Extended Cab. And the other toad we have is a 2015 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon. Both manuals pretty much say the same thing: Towing Behind a Motor Home. Then, simply follow the steps outlined in that section.

I won't go in to the details because, what I think is the procedure and what IS THE PROCEDURE for your exact car/truck, may be different. For 2002, I'd just about bet my house that there's no fuse to pull or any other action like that. But, read the manual to be sure.

I agree with the above member, the procedure is in the owners manual.

I towed a 2004 GMC Yukon XL (same as a Suburban) and all I had to do was put the transfer case in neutral and the transmission in park.

The key may need to be on, to unlock the steering wheel.
