Post Towing a Buick Enclave

I have a 30 ' Forest River Sunseeker. I want to tow a Buick Enclave. Can I tow it with a toe dolly and can I get a tow dolly with a braking system?
Thanks

Is the Enclave Front Wheel Drive (FWD) or All Wheel Drive (AWD)? That will make a big difference. In general, FWD can be towed with front wheels off the ground, AWD must have all 4 wheels off the ground, but that may be way too general a rule to apply in our modern times.

It would also be helpful to know the year model of the Enclave - then the owner's manual should tell you if it is something that can be done.

Some tow dollys have electric brakes and some have surge brakes. (Some have no brakes.) If your MH does not already have a trailer brake controller, the surge style brakes may be an easier route.

I have only ever used tow dollys without brakes, but I also have never towed anything larger than my Mazda 5 van.

If FWD it will certainly be easier than AWD.

Buick Encalve curb weight is 4359 lbs https://www.caranddriver.com/buick/enclave/specs and Forest River Sunseeker towing capacity is 7500 lbs https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2022-...age%20Capacity.

Check the your specific year and model owner's manual on how to tow it on pages 323-: https://www.buick.com/bypass/pcf/gma...21NOV17_2P.pdf on whether you can dolly tow the buick. This manual says it can be dolly towed (page 325). Dolly's come with electric or surge brakes. There are pros and cons for each.

Tow dollies are a PITA. Find a four down solution.

Considered a tow dolly since they are quite a bit lower cost than a flat tow system and would not have the expense to replace our vehicle.

Can't all Enclaves be towed four down? That's the way to go.

I have a Demco Kar Kaddy X which has surge brakes and like it a lot. Allows me to tow my existing front wheel drive car. Demco dollys are a bit expensive but are well made and worth the cost to me. I didn't want to buy another car and then modify it to tow four down.

Sure, towing four down is easier but I find setting up my dolly isn't all that time consuming or hard once you get used to it. Happy travels.

2017 was the last year to 4 wheel tow the Enclave. Anything newer will need to go on the dolly.
