Towing a F350 6.7 Dually

Hello folks

Haven’t been on here to often since we got our 2020 DutchStar 4369 new in February of 2021. Been very happy with it as a whole, with the few things that drive every owner continually crazy, bay doors for me. However I have a towing question and I knew this was the place to come for answers with the centuries of combined knowledge represented.

We’ve towed our F150 and Gladiator many thousands of miles with little to no problems. Now I’d like to tow an F350 4x4 crew cab, 8’ bed DRW axle. Putting the truck in flat tow mode is no problem. I use the Roadmaster Blackhawk II tow bar rated at 10,000# with their version of the Air Force One for assisted braking in the truck. Attached with D ring adapters to an aftermarket welded on bumper, similar but heavier built, than whats on the 150 and the Jeep.

Has anyone towed a dually truck before?

It’s a cross country trip, southern route from Savannah Ga to southwestern Utah, mostly on US 40, with a few other major interstates. How did it handle? Obviously big, but not as big as some of the stacker trailers I’ve seen towed, no experience with that.

Basically, looking for folks opinion and experience with towing something that size.

As always appreciate y’all’s help, have a great day.

I've towed my F350 Crew cab long bed. Usually tow a Jeep JK 2 door. The only difference I was aware of is where the Jeep tracks inside of my rear axle travel while the dually tracks outside of the arc (on sharp turns). But not much worse than the 20 foot trailer I also occasionally tow.
Obviously I'm longer than 65', but never been questioned. My dually is a 2wd, so I have the mess of pulling the driveshaft. Thus don't drag it unless I absolutely need it at my destination. If it was just a button to push, it'd be taken along on most trips.

I have towed our 2019 F250 4x4 with a motorcycle in the back for ~8k miles so far. I have AF1 brake system, no problems so far. I am using the larger 15k blue ox tow bar though for the added safety margin.

We towed a Ram dually across country many times as well as to Alaska with no problems, 40000+ mils before switching to a single wheel truck
