Towing a Wrangler HR with Maximus-3 hooks

Has anyone been towing a Wrangler X/10A/Hard Rock with the Maximus-3 tow hooks?

https://maximus-3.com/home/maximus-3-tow-loops-red

The specs page says "Versatile design to allow for different tow bars.", and some folks have mentioned them when talking about the Wrangler Hard Rock but I haven't seen anyone talking about actually using these to tow their Hard Rock.

I'd be curious to hear about a successful tow-bar setup with these tow hooks, they would look much better than the 10A/X/Hard Rock-compatible Blue Ox base plate "BX1134".

Thanks!

Vince.

Same question here. Looks like a much cleaner looking install. I'm just not sure where to attach the safety cables.

I just caved in and ordered the maximus-3 hooks and the blue-ox adapters. Now I'm in and I'll have to figure these things out too

From this thread on Wrangler Forum there's a picture of this setup and they used d-rings on the HR's tow hooks to attache the cables:

This could be a pretty straightforward option for the safety cables. There is still the question of the electrical wiring, the break-away cable, and the air connection (for DPs).

I considered using the tow hooks but wasn't sure that was kosher. Thanks

I would worry about the cables coming off the hooks in that picture. I'm not sure how it could happen, but if the tow bars fails while the jeep is moving forward faster than the MH... I see bad things... but I worry too much.

I see another design on Amazon:
Jeep Wrangler JK/JKU Tow Loops Front- COLOR BLACK

This looks like it gives a couple more connection points, but I'm not sure if cables will fit here either, or if it's a good idea.
