towing behind Tiffin BR28

I have a 2005 Honda Civic Automatic Looking for comments about flat towing with our RV. I read all information about the trans sequence before towing just reaching out there to see if anybody has had any problems with towing this model. Thanks

The manual https://owners.honda.com/vehicle-inf...0Sedan/manuals was silent on this subject so suggest doing an internet search OR search on this site for "recreational towing a 2005 honda civic automatic" threads and find eaxamples like this one: url]https://www.rv.net/forum/index.cfm/fuseaction/thread/tid/18727839.cfm[/url]. Hopefully, the forum can provide a specific answer to your question.

The Civics of that era are not listed in the dinghy towing guides and the 2005 owner's manual will not give any instructions or mention "recreational towing" at all. It was around that time period when Honda started to discourage any of their vehicles from being flat towed with the exception of the CR-V.

However, many are flat towing Civics of that age with both automatic and manual transmissions without issue.

Take a look at this thread from 2006, specifically the posts from Gary RVRoamer and Tom N or posts #3 and #5 for the actual procedure.
