Towing CRV or Pilot
Does anyone have experience with towing a Honda CRV 2wd with a tow dolly? Or a Honda Pilot 2wd with tow dolly?

We've towed 2 CR-Vs on dollies. What's your question about it?

You can tow any CRV, 2014 and earlier, 2WD or AWD, four down. Newer models/Pilots must be towed on a trailer of some sort.

I dolly towed a 2019 Honda Ridgeline, like a Pilot but a pickup. It was front wheel drive.

Is there anything that prevents a "newer model" 2WD CR-V or Pilot from being dolly towed?

My understanding is that the 2023 Pilots are 2 WD and can be tow dollied.

Short answer: No.
Longer answer: Look in the owner's manual. Somewhere, it will tell you how it can be towed without damage. Details differ and could affect the kind of dolly you need to get.
Also, you can dolly tow older AWD CR-Vs if you remove the driveshaft. It will work fine in FWD mode. Just mark the driveshaft before removing it so you can clock it correctly when you reinstall it. I do not know whether you can do this with the later CVT models.

After much research I've determined that Honda does make a 2023 Pilot that is 2 WD and can be tow dollied.
