Towing dolly conversion
Converted my tow dolly today for upright storage. I think this will give us many benefits, and only one downside = will need to use removable ramps. Original built-in ramps didn't work for our little car anyway.
No more tilt. It's all welded together to preserve perfect geometry.
Looks like will be much easier to move around campsite because you can pick it up waist high without hitting the ground with ramps.
Question: do I need to grease pads before I put top plate back on? I did it last year but grease seems to attract a lot of dirt and plate was not movable anymore after only 4000 miles.

Nice work, why not add some hinged square tubing ramps that would serve as feet when standing up and then fold down for loading.

My goal was creating solid structure that will work as vertical stand as well as support for flimsy fenders. They developed large cracks on both sides, and I needed to do something about it.
For loading removable hundred dollar ramps will be used.

Skyboy, Nice job! What ramps did you use. This modification looks like it might work to dolly tow a Dodge Dart (not recommended per FCA due to low ride height)

Looks good. I have a Kendon MC trailer that’s also a standup trailer. Has swivel rollers instead of feet so I can roll it around once stood up.

From what I see, my set up should look for any vehicle.

Some Teflon pads might be a better route to go than grease.
Good job to solve the storage problem.
