Towing Ford Maverick

Is there anyone towing a Ford Maverick 4-down? The little truck looks like a great toad - cab big enough for 4 adults, a bed large enough for some of that "stuff" we all need to carry, and the hybrid gets great fuel economy.
If you're towing one I would like to hear your thoughts about it.

Safe travels,

I wanted to but they are sold out. I'm a a list for a 2023 hybrid.

Any that are listed are already sold, except the ones sold as used with 1000 miles on them for $10,000 over list price.

I have read on here about 2 owners with them. Each needed to leave them at baseplate shops to create the baseplate. Should be available to purchase now.

What list are you on? My understanding is that Ford will begin accepting orders for 2023 models around Aug. 16. Any orders submitted before the cut-off back in the spring would be fulfilled or possibly converted to 2023 models. Its hard to get any believable information! The dealers around ABQ tell me any new vehicles they get are already sold, but there may be some refusals where the person ordering changes their mind. Around here they have a $5k premium added on to all new Mavericks.

I see that Roadmaster now lists a baseplate on the web site.

Safe travels,

Ford has supposedly creating a list to let people know when you can order one.

I'm aware of the August 16 date.

Interesting, they took the name from a coupe from the early 70’s and made a truck.

All I can say is Ford must have pretty substantial research that says today's buyers of the "new Maverick" are too young to know what a poor vehicle the old one was.

Ya, better than Pinto, but not by much.

I'm not towing one, but have one on order. According to the https://www.fordservicecontent.com/F...US_07_2021.pdf For recreational towing, you must order the Hybrid with the eCVT transmission. It does have the neutral tow mode. The 2l gas engine and 8spd auto transmission must be trailered.
Getting a Maverick is just a waiting game at this point, my order went to Ford Canada in May and to expect it in November, the dealer told me yesterday July 13 to check back in about a month for more info '22 or '23, any changes in build etc.
