We used to tow an 04 Dodge 2500 diesel long box crew cab 4x4. This truck weighed approximately 8400 pounds. We sold that truck after we noticed considerable front tire wear. We believe the tire wear was caused by the front wheels not fully following the coach on turns due to the weight of the diesel engine, (in the pickup truck).

We now tow an 09 Ford Explorer. The nice thing about the Explorer is that it is short enough to follow the coach so we don't need to turn any wider than what is required for the coach.

We did not notice any increase in fuel mileage or performance of the coach even though the Explorer weighs about half as much as the pickup.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but I took the Discovery down for new tires last week. On the way home I had the Silverado in tow and I decided to give Blue Beacon truck wash a try. They did a full wash on the MoHo and the truck for $76 including tire dressing. The Silverado is cleaner than it has been since it was new! I'm a big fan and will get the Blue Beacon treatment every chance I get.

We've been towing a 2014 F150 CC w/ 6.5' bed. It weighs just over 6K. The ISM 450 HP barely feels it back there. I'm still looking for the perfect side-by-side to haul in the back.
