Towing Maverick

The new Mavericks have been out for a couple years now and I知 wondering how many of you are towing one. Any issues, are you happy with your choice?

I have one ordered and I知 just waiting now.

Thanks, Terry

I have had my 2022 Maverick Hybrid since April and currently on a 2000 mile trip. It has towed great with no problems. It is very easy to prepare for towing just follow the prompts on the dash. For comparison I had a 2012 Honda CRV as a tow. I prefer this vehicle over the Honda.

You can flat tow the hybrid Maverick. But not the 4x4 (all wheel drive). In case you weren't aware of this already.

I just ordered a 2023 Maverick Hybrid as my new toad. The order window was open for a week and closed again. They took 86,000 orders.

I don't expect to see it until next summer. They will be starting to fill 2022 back orders with 2023 models, once production begins soon ?

I ordered the XL with 1 option, the trailer hitch. Around $23,800 with tax and fees.

I didn稚 think the 4x4 was the drivetrain that was towable, only the hybrid is ?

The AWD Escape Hybrid is towable. I thought they were the same drivetrain.

I have a hybrid ordered to use as a daily driver and toad, I知 thinking 3-4 more months, we値l see. If it doesn稚 materialize I値l move on and get a crv. I have a Jeep now but I知 tired of it. I want a little more comfort and something newer. Fingers crossed 🤞

Correct. The AWD Maverick is not flat towable. The Bronco sport AWD is not flat towable. Which bummed me out. I was going to tow that because it is lighter than the Ranger. I don't think the AWD maverick can be dolly towed either.

Escape AWD's after 2013 cannot be flat towed to my understanding.

We have a 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid SE Sport AWD and flat tow it with no problem. I think we've towed it about 3,000 miles so far.
