I'm not an expert on the Newmar Gassers but I think your 3953 is built on a 26,000 GVWR chassis. I believe it has a 30,000 GVWR. That would give you 4000 lbs of towing capacity if your coach was loaded to it's GVWR.

A quick google search shows that a typical 3953 weights about 23,500 full of fuel and propane. This leaves about 2500lbs for all your gear, food, clothes and water.

Look at your hitch. It's likely rated for 5000 lbs. This means if you don't max out your coach with water and gear you may be able to tow a little more than 4000lbs. For every lb you stay under the GVWR you can tow an extra lb up to the maximum hitch capacity.

Pull the information from your weight sticker. It should have the weight of the coach from the factory and tell you how much to add for water, passengers, etc. Once you have that information, you can figure out what you can tow. The hitch is likely rated for 5,000 lbs. but you may be limited by the Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating (GCVWR) and GVWR depending on your actual coach weight.
