Towing with Class B Sprinter?

Are there any class B people out there that tow a small car with their Rig?

Towing with a Sprinter

Dusty1937,

I have a 2016 Unity with a 3500 MB chassis and tow a 3400lb CR V. The only time I have the least bit of difficulty is on a steep incline when I can only travel at 50MPH, otherwise it's a piece of cake.

Dusty, have you checked the tow rating of the Vista Cruiser? Does it have the 5 cylinder engine? I thought all Ford Focii could be towed 4 down, except the ST version, like I have. BTW, the ST weighs around 3,500 lbs and a tow dolly will add another 4-500 lbs to the equation.

Sprinter Towing

We are just beginning to figure this out weights etc. Yes it has the 5 cylinder engine 154 HP. My Focus is a 2005 SES ZXW Wagon with automatic transmission weighs 3800 lbs. Ford says it can not be flat towed more than 50 miles. Standard transmission can be flat towed any distance.

Thanks much for your input

My info shows the curb weight at 2768 on this car but I would fill it with gas and load it like for a trip and weigh it at truck scales.

I towed a 4,700 pound 2008 Tacoma access cab v6 AT 4x4 with a Remco DSC behind my 2005 Gulf Stream Vista cruiser Class B. The Sprinter averaged 21.5 MPG over 79K miles and 16-18 MPG towing Tacoma, depending on mountain grades.
