Unlock steering on 2015 Lincoln MKC

I have a Sthil tow dolly to tow my 2015 Lincoln MKC. The car uses a key fob so there is no place to insert a key. You start the car and select gearing by pressing buttons. When pressing the button to shut off the engine it automatically puts the car in park and locks the steering. I am under the impression that I must unlock my steering in order to tow my vehicle with this tow dolly, so how do I do it???? My first outing is on August 17th, 2017.

I would expect that to start your car you must press the brake pedal and then push the start button.

If you DON'T press the brake pedal, the first time you push the button the car should go into ACC mode, the second time you push the button it should be in On/Run, but not actually running. (press it a third time to turn it off).

Put the car into On/Run and the steering should be unlocked.
You WILL have to have a power line from the RV to your car's battery to prevent draining the battery.
That a downside of our high-tech cars.

I'm feeling kind of stupid right now because I went out and got the owners book for my car and after reading a number of different sections about towing and steering I found a note that said that you can still steer the vehicle with the ignition off. The car has electric steering. I tried it and as tough as it is with the car sitting still, it does steer.
