We toe a 2010 Chevy Traverse with a Blue Ox with Air Force One brake system and it works great for us. It is easy to hook up and love the way it rides and handles.

I also tow a Spark manual ('17)--Blue Ox everything. BTW, mine has no need to have a key inserted as the steering wheel doesn't lock up w/o the key. No battery issues of course.

It is a mistake to allow any mechanical object to realize that you are in a hurry.

It might just be what you are used to. We have a 2006 CRV which replaced a 2009 Pontiac Vibe that we were towing on a dolly. Compared to the Vibe the CRV is quiet on the highway, and I have to say, it's a joy to drive.

It doesn't idle rough, so there may have been issues with the cars you drove.

Our Cherokee has active drive 2 which has a neutral button. It is an option on some models.

How do you tow with an awd vehicle? I have a Kia Sorento awd and was wondering if I can tow it.

Recommend you first check your owner's manual to ensure it says you can tow it.

My 05 Dakota is AWD and can be towed 4 down but it also has a transfer case with high/low and neutral. My 17 Hyundai Tucson is AWD and cannot be towed 4 down. It's a dual clutch transmission.

The 14 steps are misleading. If you skip to what just the Jeep requires:
- Transfer case in neutral
- In gear or park for autos
- Parking brake off

Since newer Wranglers don't have steering locks (mine is a 2012), take the keys out and it's done.

The Jeep also tows very well - I don't think any vehicle could be easier.

This ought to be interesting

Had to have the 2017 Mini Cooper Clubman ALL4 with a standard tranmission. Now to embark on the project to make it towable 4 down. BMW corporate offices says that others have done it before, I don't believe them. Time to dig into this and see how to make it doable.

I really don't want to drag a trailer around all the time. I can do it, just hate having a 20' trailer behind the 40' bus.

If I make this work I will post up how it can be done.

Was towing a 06 Saturn Vue, great toad. Now have a '16 Wrangler Willys, putting the equipment on it now to flat tow. Don't think I will need another Toad, this one should last us.

Four down towing a 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude, manual shift and the steering wheel does not lock when the key is off. Using a Ready Brake Brute Elite tow system with led monitor light on the dash. No problems after about 4500 miles.

We have been towing a 2002 Chevy Tracker for 12 years and over 30k miles. In the process of setting up a 2013 Ford Edge for towing tomorrow. Using the same Roadmaster tow bar, but need new base plates to fit it. Also installing a SMI Stay N Play Duo. Hope to be ready to roll by Wednesday.

2013 Ford f-150 4wd automatic. All we have to do it twist the 4x4 knob 5 times from 2wd to 4 low and back. Put the tranny in neutral and leave the key in.

HI Jim. I tow a four door, 4/wheel drive manual Jeep Sahara. Love it! We have to put transmission in gear and transfer case in neutral. The transmission can be in any gear, it doesn't matter. I had a Toyota FJ Cruiser, I was so sad about the fact that it cannot be towed four down, not even two down. So had to trade in. I am very happy with the jeep.
