What do YOU tow 4 down?

I am looking for a list of vehicles that can be towed four down. I have tried a bunch of sites that all say - check your owners manual.

So would like to hear from horses mouths:

What do YOU tow 4-Down?

Year, make/model, AWD?, 4WD?, 2WD?, Standard/Manual or automatic.

For example, I was looking at a 2008 Honda CRV. 2WD automatic. But I want a 4wd vehicle.

I think the best list anyone can come up with will be actual towed vehicles. It will help people like me narrow down our searches. I don't want to make a list of 20 vehicles that I need to drive all over town to look at the darn owners manuals anymore.

Also - are ALL manual transmissions towable 4 down?

If you want to expand with special requirements to tow YOUR dinghy great.

Thanks
Jim

My toad is a 2 wheel drive. Some later model manual shifts are not towable 4 wheels down. Check carefully!

2013 Chevy Sonic, automatic, 2wd. Easy to setup and tow.

With a little work you can find most owners manuals online, for free download.

We tow a 2006 Honda CR-V, 2-wheel drive. The CR-V through 2014 are towable without modification, either 2-wheel or all-wheel drive. It's a great tow vehicle.

'03 CRV w/automatic and AWD, many miles, and could not be happier with it's performance. Other than an episode with the AC that I understand happens frequently on the Gen II models around 100k, gas, oil changes, and tires is all it's taken so far (185K).

Store : Remco

That site will tell you what can be towed 4 down or modified to do so.

I pull a Lexus RX300 front wheel drive.

2015 Jeep Wranglar Automatic 4wd is what we tow. It does require like 14 steps to set it up to tow, which was a bit overwhelming, but once we got it down, it is pretty easy.

Here you go, just run 5 min then put in neutral, remove #32 fuse, and turn key to off.
