That picture was taken right after install. I have since added a 4 inch drop hitch bringing it to the level position.

Curb wgt of the Odyssey is apx 4,300lb. I tow with a 10k Blue Ox Aventa II tow bar behind a 40' dp w/350hp Cummins ISC.
Oooo! The Odyssey is a nice vehicle. I'll have to look at the manuals for the 2010 and newer. I don't want standard tranny.

Nice to know. I have the Cummins ISB 340. Pulls the 2007 Saturn nicely.

Tow a 2003 Chevy Tracker 4x4. 2,900 pounds. Roadmaster hidden base plates. Enjoyed the 4wd on the Oregon Coast beach last weekend. Nothing fancy, but inexpensive to find and configure.

2005 Acura MDX @ 4600 Lbs, no problem with 350HP/750Tq Cummins 6.7L ISB

Blu Ox Adventa LX 10K rated tow bar.

Newer models of MDX may or may not be rated for 4 down towing.

120K trouble free miles on the MDX - I only wish that Acura made a Class A MH. Winnebago/Itasca could learn a lot about quality if they look to Japan.

Wayne, I have the same MH as you. I've just finished setting my Land Rover up for towing. It's factory quoted curb weight is about 4,700 lb. In the limited distance (100 miles) I've towed it, so far so good. I'll get it into the AZ mountains soon and see how it really does.

BTW, thanks for the advice on the levelers last week. I called Winnebago and they confirmed exactly what you said about the bags dumping. The dealer is addressing the issue now.

And the Mazda weighs 2200 pounds by itself? (Sorry - just couldn't resist - just kidding.)

To all,

Thanks for your input. Seems like there is a very wide variance in what we tow, and to each his own. I'm sure that some are based on DW's input - especially when it comes to color. It just "has to match" some part of the MH.

With the variance of vehicles there is a big variance on weights. I guess I'm going to be okay with a "newer to me" 2011 Lincoln MKX at 4200+some pounds. It's about 1k more than the 2007 Saturn Vue I was towing.

Happyt trails.

Our toad weighs 3,400 pounds. Aluminum trailer is 1,400 pounds. 4,800 total and my tow rating is 5,000 pounds. When I tow the wrangler I am over a little as it is about 4,000 pounds. The Newmar is built ''Ford Tough"!

I am towing a 2012 Chevy Captiva (2008-10 Saturn Vue re-badged). It weighs 3600 lbs. Just in case you decide to go back to a Saturn Vue after towing the MKX for a while. Blue Ox Base Plate. Ready Brute Elite tow bar.

94 Geo Tracker 2WD 5 speed. GVW says 2200lbs. 350 Cummins ISC doesn't know it is there. Even though it is getting old we still like it enough that we are having it repainted to match the MH this summer. We talked about a Wrangler but it would be much heavier and they don't get very good mileage.
