What toad do you pull with your F53?
Sorting out some issues that come with being new to the Class A world. I started http://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/f53-3...ok-445641.html with some questions that got some answers.
Then it occurred to me: Everyone until the end of time might want some idea what toads folks are towing with their F53 . . . for perspective, for ideas, for troubleshooting, etc.
I looked around a bit and haven't found a thread like this here so:
1. What's your F53's year/make/model?
2. What's your F53's length?
3. What's your F53's typical weight?
4. What toad do you tow?
5. Flat/dolly/trailer/etc.?
6. Any notes/trouble/solutions with your toad?
(If there is a thread like this already out there, please post a link)
Thanks in advance all who participate!

Hi
Our F53 is a 2001 34’ Triple E, so the F53 frame etc is actually a year earlier, a 2000 model. We flat tow a 2011 Honda CRV with no problems during our trip to Mexico and back.
No problems with the toad except a lot of small rock chips on the front of it and on the windshield. Next year, we will have a front bra/windshield cover on it.
Never had to disconnect or back up as we are a great team and we deliberate our forward motion into gas stations and campgrounds.
We picked up our toad last year with just 45k miles (73000 Kms) on it. Had to look a bit for a low mileage one at a good price $14,000 CDN.
We love it because it’s AWD, has comfortable front and rear seating, and our boxer can ride comfortably in the rear baggage area when we are around and about. Gets great gas mileage and it is very reliable.
Good luck looking.
Cheers
DJ

We have a 34 foot 2016 Tiffin 32SA on a 24,000 pound GVWR chassis. GCWR is 30,000. Coach loaded weight is 22,500. Hitch is rated at 5000.
We flat tow a 2019 2WD 3.5 liter six cylinder Ford Explorer Limited that weighs when loaded (and including the towing rigging and supplemental brakes) 4970 pounds, 30 pounds under the hitch rating. Total weight rounds up to 27,500, 2500 under the GCWR. A 4WD Ecoboost would've been nice but the weight would exceed the hitch rating.
2019 4 cylinder Ecoboost Explorers can't be flat towed. All 6 cylinders, both 2WD and 4WD, can be flat towed.
The car has a Demco Stay in Play braking system and Blue Ox towing rigging. To tow I start the car, hook up, put the car in neutral, turn the car off, disconnect the battery via a solenoid with a switch in the dash, turn on the Stay in Play, release the parking brake and go. When towing you must stop every six hours or so and run the motor for a few minutes and shift back and forth between reverse and drive a couple of times.
The car tows nicely; no hassles this year towing from San Antonio to Duluth, the first time we've towed this car.

2002 Fleetwood Southwind
33 feet
Aprox 19k pounds
Flat towing a 2013 Fiat 500. We are new to this and have only towed once, over Stevens Pass (hwy 2).
Easy to set up for flat tow with Falcon All Terrain bar, hook up, car in neutral, parking break off and go.
The Fiat is only 2,300 pounds so barely know it's back there. For such a small car it is just right for a toad for us, no off roading but fits everywhere and surprisingly fits my 6'6" body comfortably.
