Toad is a 2020 F150 with RVi3. Easy setup with Roadmaster bar.

Good tow vehicle

We have a 2017 Ford Edge that pulls behind our 34' Itasca SunCruiser very easily. The SUV is big enough to haul the bikes and any extra gear, and there is very little difference in gas mileage towing the vehicle 4 down. Just be sure to get a good tow bar setup with the braking system...

Toad

Guess I win the prize for OLD toad. It's a 1986 Suzuki Samurai. Has 115K miles on the odometer, but maybe 25K or so on the engine. I'm the third owner, all owners towed the Samurai. It's great for towing, light, and no power steering, so steering casters very easily. Use a early (version 1) RVI brake.

I second that, and love the fact that we can really go exploring when we travel, but again that our thing.

if i was to have a toad,
best would be a older datsun pu , in 4 wheel set up. a full float rear axle. ( modified ford 9 in) just have all four hubs unlocked no problem.
sure not much, but cheap, easy to fix, and light weight. and taxes are very cheap.

We tow a 2015 Chev Colorado 4 x 4 truck - love it - it caries are bikes and extra stuff (we probably don't need but carry anyways) - and our tools in it, just in case. We put it in neutral then 4low, put the ignition to ACC and then we have a quick disconnect for the battery. Takes us about 5 minutes to connect and disconnect. My hubby looks after the tow connections from our Class A to the truck and I look after the in inside workings so we tow without problems.

Chevy Colorado

We pulled a 2012 Colorado crew cab 4x4 for 7 years and now have a new 2020. It has been excellent. I believe the Canyon is the same other than badging and trim differences.

I pull a Canyon 4X4 Diesel, don’t even know it’s back there. Plus the extra room is great.

We tow a 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and wouldn’t flinch at doing it all over again. They’re quite literally made to tow! The chassis on our 2017 Thor Vegas is an E450 with the 2v V10 and 6 speed TorqueShift Transmission and it tows this like a dream..

BTW, for those with a Wrangler I strongly suggest you look at the manual free spin hub kits. The entire front driveline no longer moves when they are in "free" position.
You don’t say what transmission you have, but You might want to check with Jeep on whether or not you’re doing any damage. Jeep Service manager told me that you could not tow the front or rear of a Jeep Wrangler with the other end down. IE - no tow dolly as the front differential needs to be turning in order to move the lubrication through the transmission. Pretty sure I saw an advisory on this and will check...

We tow a 2018 Colorado Diesel Z71 4x4. With the ARE shell and BedSlide, this has ample, fully accessible storage. Very easy tow!

If you are towing a 4wd Jeep

This was in my owner’s manual...
Basically, Jeep is saying either all 4 down or all 4 up (on a trailer)...
