I own a 2003 Discovery and have recently bought a tow dolly to tow my auto. I have the 7 pin trailer connector on the rear of the coach that is wired and operational, all lighting on the tow dolly works when it is connected to the coach. The tow dolly I bought has electric brakes and there is a pin in the coach connector for the electric brake wire but I cannot locate the wire anywhere in the coach. Fleetwood tells me it should be under the dash but I cannot locate it and they cannot tell me exactly where. Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience.

Yea, they don't make it easy, look for a wire that is larger than the rest, the electric brakes pull a lot of power so the wire is usually larger than the turn/brake/marker wires. The bundle will probally not be marked as such, but as optional harness # ---- or something like that. Good luck!

If Fleetwood follows convention, there should be a 4-pin connector under the dash into which you will plug your trailer brake controller. Usually, these connectors are at the end of a harness and are taped or tie-wrapped to another wiring harness or to a structural brace or similar. The wires on the harness are +12VDC (battery +), -12VDC (ground), brake lamp signal and trailer brake output. Normally, the trailer brake output wire is blue.
Good luck.

On my 03 Southwind it was a single light blue wire under the dash.

I have a 2005 W22 Bounder and it did not come with electric brake controler. Dealer installed controler and wired back to 7 pin.

Called fleetwood and they said it was a 14 inch blue wire under the dash. needless to say it was 4 inches and hide behind at air duct. I looked for two hours and gave up, my son found it in about an hour. Have fun looking for it.
