Wiring Lights for a 2008 Chevy Colorado??

Which is the most preferred method? Separate lights in the Tail light housing, or Diodes using the Stock Tail/Stop/Turn lights?

If you have room behind the tail lights, I would go with separate bulbs. That way you completely avoid messing with the factory wiring. I did have room, so I carefully drilled holes into the tail light modules of the right size for the bulb sockets, put a little silicon sealant around the sockets and wired them up. You can't tell they are there.
