03 Winnebago Minnie 31C, which upgrades?

Hello,

Over the weekend my wife and I picked up our first MH, a 03 Winnebago Minnie 31C. I have been reading this and other forums for quite a while and have seen numerous post regarding shocks and tires. The tires that are on there now I think are the original tires, the "Firestones" From what I have read the "Michelin Rib's" are the tire of choice along with the "Bilsten shocks" Are these the best choice for my set up? Any other upgrades that I might want to consider, not only for the suspension, but the MH in general?

Look at the tire sidewall carefully to see if there is any deterioration. Also check the date code ... RV tires are normally good for about 5 years. As for brand, well, Michelins are good, but so are Goodyear, Bridgestone, etc.
Shocks, either Monroe Class C units, which we have, or Bilsteins ... can't go wrong with either. You also might want to consider support/leveling jacks for the back ... we have the 7500# scissor units .... super easy to install and will allow a few inches of frame lift. If sway is still a problem there are several good anti-sway bars on the market.
