1973 Minnie Winnie Fling

Hi. My son just bought a 1973 Dodge Fling. We've been told it is also called a minnie winnie. It is gutted so he has a great deal of work to do. We had a mechanic go through it and repair things needed to make sure it runs. Everything is good there, but where do we start now? For example it needs new seats. I've searched online for dodge fling but get very little if anything in return. Any suggestions on how to get us started on this project would be appreciated.

A quick internet search shows a 1973 Dodge Sportsman Fling. If this is a class C RV, with the cab from a van, you should be able to find 1973 Dodge van seats with little difficulty.

Welcome to iRV2

As ; slowmachine ; mentioned , search " Dodge Sportsman" or " B series" van, in that vintage, and you should get what your after .

The Sportsman name plate on those years of vans , was an indication of trim level ( better seats, dash trim ,headliner) as opposed to the bare bones Tradesman vans .

1973 Tradesman B 200 , was my second brand new vehicle , and I did my own conversion to an RV . Oh to be young and foolish again.

EDIT: While I was typing , this I see , slowmachine has posted a good question .

Do you have a Class C , or; as in the photo he posted , a Mini Winni class A on a Dodge chassis?

If he is handy and does not mind doing some fabricating, just about any Van seat should fit. Just a matter of measuring and mounting to the seat stand that is there.
