1977 Dodge Sportsman Brake problems

Hello everyone!

Iíve finally been able to spend some time fixing up the RV. I did a lot of electrical fixing and upgrades, and after about 10 months of sitting I drove it again. I discovered I have no power brakes now. They worked fine the last time I drove it, so Iím not sure what happened.

Any ideas in what kind of parts can go bad just sitting there? I came in for the night but tomorrow Iíll inspect the check valve and bleed the brakes if I have time. Iím open to any suggestions!

Thank you

You have probably developed a vacuum leak somewhere, or the power brake booster is bad.

Thanks for the reply! I did some trouble shooting today, and I believe the check valve is bad. No airflow in either direction when I suck or blow into the line.

Finally got around to bleeding the brakes. I was able to almost complete a flush/bleed all around, unfortunately one of the bleeder screws is stuck though. Doing 3/4 definitely helped with the braking issue though, the final one should really help tighten things up. Soaked it with PB blaster and tomorrow Iíll go attempt to remove it.
