1989 Ford Travelaire no power to fuel pump and no spark

Got this camper from my parents. They always had problems with it and spent many $1000s trying to fix it. At the shop multiple times. Anyways they got a new camper and gave me this.

Every time they got it fixed it would only work until they got it home pretty much. Sometimes it would start and run but couldn't go over 20kmh other times it wouldn't start at all. The last time it started they had to hook a power wire direct to the fuel pump .after it shut off it never started again so I towed it to my house.

Just wondering if anyone knows what could cause no power to both the ignition and the fuel pump? Or something else?

When turn key no fuel pump and no spark.

It's a silver colored rectangular box mounted on the drivers side firewall......google it for a picture...new doesn't mean to much these days.....most have a brown colored plug on a short wire loom coming out of box...

Located on side of distributor should be gray or black, 460's take the black one i believe, ask for a 92 94 ford mustang tfm (thick film module)

Would this cause the fuel pump to not prime when key is turned on?
