1st Post: 2007 Lexington 283 GTS

Hi all, new to this forum and RVing in general. Did spend about 20 summers boating the Mighty Miss in everything from 14-50'. Know about holding tanks, 12 v systems etc.

We've decided that Class C seems to offer the most of what we want. We're planning on doing some summer trips of 100-500+ miles and a winter "snowbird" trip out west.

We've looked at a few units so far. We drove a 2007 Lexington 283 GTS that is very clean and has less than 15,000 miles w/ new tires etc. The ONE thing we noticed negatively on the test drive was it really seemed to rattle a lot. I'm thinking it maybe mostly fixable issues caused by poor kitchen packing etc. Anyone have any specific experience with this? Any info on the Lexington at all is appreciated . . . we're planning on probably taking another look and drive later in the week. TIA and happy to be here!

Thank John, and hopefully once I get going I'll be able to contribute here as well. Off to look at another Class C this afternoon . . .
