2017 Sprinter Check engine light

I have a 2017 Mercedes Sprinter under my Thor Quantum. I have had the check engine light come on during the last three trips, each time "premature shutdown of the emission control" or in other words, something to do with DEF. It costs me $150-200 each time it comes on and all they do is reset it and send me on my way. It came on again just today and this is getting REAL old. Does anyone out there have the same issue and if so what was your solution? Local Mercedes dealer seems to love my money.

Your emission system is covered by a Mercedes extended warranty. Take it to a Mercedes Sprinter dealer and get it fixed properly. There is also a Mercedes emission system recall that may or may not cover your unit.
